DIY Pencil Bag

Monday, October 6, 2014

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing this cute DIY pencil bag that I made a little
while ago for school. It's super simple and cute and its a great way to carry pencils,
pens and anything else.

Materials:
Printed fabric
Felt(any color)
1 medium sized button
thread
a needle
a sewing machine
scissors
Step 1: Cut both your printed flower and felt. The printed fabric should be 9 by 11 inches.
The felt should be 9 by 4 inches and the two of the corners should be rounded.
Step 2: Hem one side of the printed fabric. Simply fold the fabric about half an inch
and pin it in place. Then sew along the pin line.

Step 3: Pin of the flap. Line it up with the top edge of the fabric. Pin it on the
brighter side of the printed fabric. Then sew it along the pin line.

Step 4: Fold the fabric so that the dull side of the fabric is showing. line up the hemmed
side of the fabric to where the flap begins and pin it in place and sew.
Step 5: Flip the bag right side out. mark where you want your button on both the bag
and the flap then sew it on and cut a button hole.

Once you finish this you will be done! I hope you enjoyed this post!
