DIY Tissue Paper Wreath

Monday, December 15, 2014

Hello Everyone! Can you believe Christmas almost here? I'm super excited about it, and even more excited that winter break will start this weekend.
Today I'm sharing this simple tissue paper wreath I made for my room. I think its a festive and simple way to add some color to any space for the holiday season.

Materials:
A foam wreath
Tissue Paper (any colors)
Ribbon
Wire
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Pom poms (optional)

Step 1: Cut strips about 1 1/2 inches wide from the tissue paper. Then make slits in each peace to make the fringe and cut pieces that will fit around the foam.

Step 2: Using a hot glue gun make a dot of glue on the back side of the wreath and stick the tissue to it. Wrap the tissue around and glue the other end down in the same spot.

Continue step 2 till you have covered the whole wreath with your same color pattern.

Step 3: Turn the wreath over to the back and poke a small hole in the foam using the scissors. Make a loop out of a small piece of wire, stick the ends in to the hole and add some hot glue. Hold the wire place for a few seconds till the glue dries. This will help you hang the wreath.

Step 4: To make the bow simply tie a bow using the ribbon of your choice. To add a little extra sparkle I added a glittery pom pom in the middle. To put on the bow try hanging it up to ensure that the bow is centered correctly.

This wreath is super simple to make and very cute to have around your house. I looks great hanging on a door or set on a mantle. I Hope you enjoyed this DIY. Happy Holidays!!!
